The 30 x 96 Size
At 96", the ST3096EC is the longest Mixrite work table we carry, an 8' run of work surface on 6 legs. Atosa rates it at 680 lb on the top and 480 lb on the undershelf, the highest ratings of any Mixrite work table here. Use it for high-volume prep, catering assembly or packing where one long table works better than two short ones.
The top gives you 2,880 square inches of work surface, about 20 square feet. Before you order, measure the space: you need 96" of width, and the table comes 30" out from the wall. Check how much aisle space is left behind anyone standing at the table.
A 96" table is long once it is assembled. It ships knocked down, so plan to put it together in the room where it will stand.
Choosing the Depth
A 30" depth is the middle option. It leaves room for a cutting board at the front with containers or ingredients behind it, without the reach of a 36" table.
The Flat Top
The top is flat edge to edge, with no backsplash or raised rear edge. That makes it the right choice when the table stands away from a wall, sits in an open area, or gets worked from more than one side. You can slide pans, boards and boxes on and off from any edge.
Atosa polishes the whole top to a satin finish and sound deadens it, which reduces the ringing noise of tools and pans set down on bare steel. All edges are turned down, so there is no sharp cut edge where staff lean or reach.
Height and Clearance
The work surface is 34" high. The optional WA400001 casters are 5" high and will raise the table if you add them. If the table will slide under a shelf or counter overhang, measure that clearance first.
The Undershelf
The undershelf is stainless steel and adjusts in height. Atosa lists it at 24" x 90", rated at 480 lb. Use it for bins, bowls, sheet pans and boxed product. Measure your tallest item before you set the height: a lower shelf gives more clearance, a higher shelf keeps items closer to hand.
Load Ratings
Atosa lists 680 lb on the top and 480 lb on the undershelf. Treat those as limits. Spread heavy items out and keep the heaviest near the legs.
Legs and Leveling
The ST3096EC stands on 6 stainless steel tubular legs, 1-5/8" in diameter, with 1" adjustable bullet feet. The 6-leg frame adds support along the 96" length. Use the feet to level it on an uneven floor so it does not rock.
